- Now that setup is complete, go ahead and create your first property by clicking on “New Property” in the bottom right corner. It will then show you the properties set up for the account you’re currently logged into. If you use this first time for setting up an account, it should say 1 property.
- Click on the property and then click “Create Property.”
- Next, it will ask you to select the type of website you created this account for (e.g., eCommerce or Mobile App). Select whatever one best represents your website and click next.
- Now we need to set up the reporting structure by choosing between a few standard options. You want to select “Website” for most blogs, as this is what setup will be called.
- Add the website name and click next.
- Finally, click on verify website ownership by verifying either an email or Website verification (HTML file upload) method by uploading an HTML file generated during the setup process earlier.
- Finally, click “Save and Finish.”
